Range of Safety Sieves for Powders

SODEVA safety sieves control powders before use, during production or before packaging. They remove foreign bodies, fibres, packaging fragments, agglomerates and other contaminants larger than the defined mesh size.

They help preserve final product quality and protect downstream equipment such as mixers, conveying systems, feeders and packaging machines.

A Range Configured for Your Process

Each safety sieve is configured according to the powder characteristics, required throughput, control particle size, reject rate and production-line integration requirements.

The equipment can be installed at raw-material loading points, before mixing or conveying, during powder recovery, or directly before packaging.

■ Removal of contaminants and agglomerates

■ Control of maximum particle size

■ Protection of downstream equipment

■ Sieving of new, recovered or reintroduced powders

■ Integration into new or existing production lines

Continuous Sieving and Powder Recycling

SODEVA sieves can be integrated into a complete installation including a hopper, big-bag loading system, vibratory feeder and product discharge system.

This configuration provides a regular feed to the sieve and, depending on the process, enables recovered powders to be controlled, recycled and reintroduced into production with reduced manual handling and material losses.

Deblinding Options for Difficult Powders

Fine, fatty, hygroscopic or electrostatic powders can blind the screen mesh and reduce throughput.

Depending on the application, safety sieves can be equipped with mechanical deblinding using cleaning balls or the SONISCREEN® ultrasonic deblinding option. These solutions help maintain sieving efficiency and consistent production performance.

Safety screening: protecting the product and the production line

Installed before mixing, transfer, dosing or packaging, a safety sieve retains agglomerates, oversized particles, packaging fragments, fibres and other foreign bodies. It safeguards product quality and protects downstream equipment.

Open meshes and throughput adapted to the product

Meshes above 500 µm are frequently used for this safety check. They allow compliant product to pass through while retaining unwanted material, with a design adapted to the required throughput, product characteristics and cleaning requirements.

For fine powders from 20 to 500 µm

When fine powders need to be checked, stainless-steel meshes from 20 to 500 µm can be used with SONISCREEN® ultrasonic deblinding. It keeps the mesh openings active, limits clogging and stabilises throughput.

SODEVA Engineering and Trials

SODEVA designs and manufactures its sieves in France. Trials with your own powder can be carried out to determine the most suitable mesh size, throughput, deblinding technology and equipment configuration for your application.
