SONISCREEN® ATEX Ultrasonic Emitters

Certain fine powders can create an explosive atmosphere. For these sensitive applications, SODEVA offers SONISCREEN®, its ultrasonic deblinding system equipped with the E04.0169 ATEX ultrasonic emitter.

This emitter is covered by an EU-Type Examination Certificate issued by INERIS, Notified Body No. 0080, in accordance with ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU.

The INERIS 04ATEX0068X – issue 03 certificate covers the E04.0169 ultrasonic emitter integrated into the SONISCREEN® system. It certifies that its design complies with the essential health and safety requirements applicable to equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres.

An Ultrasonic Solution Designed for Dust Explosive Atmospheres

SONISCREEN® transmits ultrasonic vibrations to the screen mesh to reduce mesh blinding and maintain the effective screening area, particularly with fine, fatty, hygroscopic or electrostatic powders.

The E04.0169 emitter is marked:

■ II 1 D

■ Ex ta IIIC T262°C Da IP6X

This marking corresponds to protection intended for explosive dust atmospheres, strictly under the conditions specified in the certificate and operating instructions.

Safety Integrated into Operation

The emitter is protected by a fuse and temperature sensors. These sensors are integrated into a safety loop that shuts down the system if the permitted temperature is exceeded.

The parameters defined in the certificate include:

■ Generator rated power: 100 W

■ Maximum power: 120 W

■ Resonance frequency: 34.5 to 36.8 kHz

■ Ambient operating temperature: 0 to +50 °C

■ Use with circular sieves from 700 to 1,770 mm external diameter, according to the approved configurations

Integration Engineered for Each Installation

Application compliance depends on respecting the specific conditions of use, including sieve configuration, the recipe associated with the frame, electrical connection, grounding, temperature safety loop and inspection procedures after maintenance.
